This is a compilation of promising black metal bands from USA, This compilation was made by a white metal fan and also friend of mine his name Dough Farrar. The compilation contains 10 black metal songs and also he add a Death metal song as bonus track at last, as a preview of his next compilation which will be titled Grinding Spiritual Death, where Death and Grind metal bands will be showed up.

Funeral Oath and Resurrection: This is the first song of the compilation, taken from FUNERAL OATH the second disc of SORROWSTORM which is an EP, We can see rawness in this song, accompanied of Black metal shrieking, Phil has improved vocals and also the drums are killer, I’ve always wondering how Phil can sing and do a very good drumming job at the same time. This song contains no keyboards to give it a raw sound.
Dethrone The False lords: This song from the band GOATICIDE takes the second place on this compilation, these guys play real Old school black metal, the shrieking are awesome, we can heard death growls in this song also. The only problem is the programmed drums.
Resist (the bloodbath): BUCEPHALUS also used programmed drums, I don’t dislike it at all, but I don’t like it either, I like the guitars in this song, but if the drums could be real this song would be killer. One thing this bad about this band is a poor production.
Wisdom of Fools: This is the first time I heard about RISING HOUR, but I like it, The vocals of this band remind me to Death Poems and the music also, maybe it is an influence of this band. This is a good song, but it is not fast. Also programmed drums are heard from this band, but this seems to be better than the previous bands.
Get The Hence Satan: The first time I heard DIRGE OF BAYS was in the Underground Rot Compilation 2, This band seems to play Old School black metal, the vocals are pretty well done, although they can be improved, The bass is a little bit high in this song. The production is raw.
Negative: This song played by SIMEON, starts with acoustic guitars and slow drumming, then from nowhere appears the black metal sounds which bring along insane black metal vocals, also Death Metal vocals can be appreciated in the middle of this song. This is a good song with a pretty decent production.
Final Assault: CABALISTIC brings Old School black metal, which contains no peace in it, with reals drums, The vocals are pretty insane, this songs is maybe the most catchy from the whole compilation, the drumming, vocals and guitars are pretty well done!! I love this song.
The Sword of the Spirit: ARCH OF THORNS is one of my favorite Black metal bands, I love all of their songs of their previous demo, the lyrics of this song are beautiful and talk about put on the armor and prepare for the War (against Satan), But this band uses also a drumming machine, the production is decent, but this band is one of the more outstanding of all the demo. This song is fast, aggressive, with insane vocals, but it slows to melodic guitars about 30 seconds before it finish.
Frigid Emptiness: EULOGIUM this band commanded by my good friend Armando Lopez, since it is solo project Armando plays everything for the band. Armando plays also Old school black metal in this song, The vocals are really rotten and sometimes turn to death metal vocals. Nice song!
Graveyard: BANSHEE plays Pure Mexican Black Metal, this is also a solo project by a man called: Algar. He does a good job in vocals, yet the production in this song is poor. But it is a good song though.
Demon Hackticianer: This is a live song from the band GRAVE DEFIER who plays Death Metal, this song was just put as a preview of Dough’s Next compilation.

Those are all the track in this compilation, this compilation brings you over 40 minutes of black metal!. I don’t know if it is still available, You can get your copy at www.shaveraudioandvideo.com

I have received a copy of the new compilation of American Christian black metal artists. this is called the US white metal assault. this cd brings new light into the small but growing American underground unblack metal scene.

the first song is from SORROWSTORM, the most famous and commercial of theses bands. though Philipe Diaz is from Panama he made this song here in the US. this song is called "Funeral Oath And Resurrection" and its the best song of this album. its more like old school black metal with no keyboards. this is a good way to start the album. The next band is another good band that I actually did not know about until this comp. its call GOATICIDE (what an awesome name! BOLD!) this song is called "Dethrone the False Lords" killer title for a awesome song. needs some work in production but the song is awesome. old school. the next song from BUCEPHALUS. obviously its the same singer. maybe this is the dudes solo project or something. the song is called " Resist (Frontline Bloodbath)" its a pretty cool song with cool drums and pedals. here is when the cd begins to slide. the next song is from RISING HOUR a Texan black metal project. I have heard better from him than this song. it starts off with a weird guitar intro but it does get better latter on with the exception of that beat. the song is called "Wisdom Of The Fools". the next song is from DIRGE OF BAYS and the song is called "Get Thee Hence Satan" and this song is nothing compared to there song on the Underground rot 2 cd. these guys got a new singer and well i like the old one better. this song I don't like much. the next band is called SIMEON and this is a cool song. I like the screams in it. its called "Negative". it starts off slowly but then gets brutal. combination of growls and screeches. maybe a bit of hardcore too in this. CABALISTIC is next and they have a pretty sweet song called "Final Assault". this is old school black metal and its pretty chaotic. good song though just the end gets little crazy. ARCH OF THORNS is next and they are also one of the more commercial bands here. there song starts slowly but then goes brutal. the song is called "Sword Of The Spirit" and from what I hear of the lyrics I like allot. one of the better songs here. EULOGIUM is next and his song is also interesting. I think the drums are too load for the rest of the instruments but other wise its pretty good. this song is called "Frigid Emptiness". EULOGIUM is one of the solo projects here. The next band and last black metal song here is from BANSHEE and its called "grave yard". This is an anti-Nazi black metal band and this cd came with a little card with the site and logo. Cool stuff but I lost it so I don’t have the link. I like the song its just that when this guy tries to do a high pitch screech. I think he is trying to sound like a banshee. Well lets just say its not working for him well. As a bonus track they have a song called “Demon Hacticianer” from a Christian death metal band called GRAVE DEFIER. It’s a live song and it really makes your head band. I understand this song will be in a death/grind version of this comp later on this year. These guys are bold and there music is awesome.

Thus concludes this review. The black metal here is not symphonic or atmospheric but instead old school style. Though production needs to improve this is a good comp. Its free at www.shaveraudioandvideo.com so order yours now. These bands have great potential and could blast on to the unblack and secular scenes.
