Isn't so easy to find a band that plays like the Mighty Extol in the christian or secular scenes. In this album Extol has taken a different way not so far from what they've been doing, blending a lot of styles like: Classic, Jazz and progressive metal and transforming them into what only Extol can.
Since the very first time I listened to this I was hooked! The CD starts with a great song Inferno, the intro of this song is pretty nice, I remember I used to repeated it every single time I listened to this album. One thing I notice right away, was the the length of each song, they are mostly over six minutes each! which gives you 57 minutes of great metal.
Another song that got my interest was Ember it starts with some clean singing, but later on the grinding death metal vocals appears, This album shows the most aggressive vocals ever in Extol discography, I never thought that Extol could be able to get better than Burial. The clean vocals are also cool, they are used almost in every song. Before getting this album I got the Come Armageddon compilation, there I heard the last song of this album, And I Watch this song is awesome, I think is one of the highlights of that compilation.
The Lyrics are pretty straight with christian content. I like a lot Extol's songwriting. The production can't get better than this, package is very well done, with lyrics, Extol won't dissapoint you, this is a highly recommend CD to buy.
