Hailing From Brazil, Divine Symphony appeared in the Underground rot compilation II from Rotting Records, with the song "God Wrath". After that, they released their own full-lenght album "Reject Darkness" 9 songs of pure symphonic black metal.
This band was started by Kelton Kelio (guitars) and Wilson Amarral (bass) when they wanted to make a extreme metal band with christian lyrics, the band started on 2001 but it took a while to release something by the brazilian label Extreme Records.
Divine Symphony uses females vocals and black metal shrieks, that gives to the music a very simphonic and epic sound. The keyboards are intense, Alexandre Carvalho do a great job on keys, the two guitarrists seems to be good, because the guitars are very underground,
the female vocals sound like opera, they are almost used in every song , they are performed by Izabel Fernandez. Through this we can see all the hard work this guys had put to their music.
The packagin' is pretty well organized, and the covert art have the perfect feeling for a band like this, they include a booklet with the lyrics, the band logo is awesome.
