After having this CD four weeks in a row in my CD player, I think I'm able to make a review of it. It wasn't so easy to take off from my head all those riffs that comes out of this CD, specially from the first and last track.. the ultra fast drums from the song "Lord Of Darkness" some people would think they are drum machine... because some parts are incredibly fast.... Adonijah has done an excellent job on drums, and He don't forget those thrashy drumming passages the band show in the MCD.
It took some time to release this material, it suppose to be released by Psychoacoustic Records but the owner of such, passed away, leaving FLA without label, the band had no choice than release this independently, there were also some other changes to their line-up, they added a new bassist Ruach and a keyboardist Qoheleth, BTW, the performance of the keyboards has become greatly outstanding, the keyboards give the music a very dark sound, also Sebat has been doing a great job on guitars, the guitars are a great tool to enhance a lot more the music here.
If you like the lyrics on the MCD, you'd love these lyrics, they have become more extreme and awesome, they add some death metal growls they are even deeper that the ones shown on the MCD, "Shattered Gods" is probably the song the use them the most, also rarely the vocals alike to those that performs Dani Filth are performed here, I like a lot the vocals from Azhael they are amazing, The vocals are nicely done. Improvements can be seen throughout all the CD. Here also appears the song "A Cruel Verse" in a modified version, it even sound better than the one in the MCD. In the track listing only appears 9 songs but it has one hidden song, which is a new and improved version of the song "All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence/O Come O Come Emmanuel" previously released in the compilation "A Brutal Christmas".         Overall this is a great way to start the year by buying this stuff, it awesome, it surrounded by very good production and it clocks over one hour of black death metal that don't disappoints.
